Bazaar

Dubai Women's has an annual event the Bazaar where students from all departments come up with a business idea and implement it during the three days of the event. This year the Bazaar was held on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December. The final year students are not participating in this event except the Business Management Financial Services students who volunteered to run the bank where students, staff visitors exchange their Dirham's to Dhows (college's currency).I was working in the main bank where the most important workis done.Everyday, we should disterbute the money to each students in the six bank branches located in different areas in the college. Each branch has two shifts and each shift has two students; so that anyone who wants to exchange the money they can go to the nearest bank branch.

In the main branch we also should convert the Dhows to Dirham's as we are the only branch who has the permission to do this transaction. At the end of each shift bankers from all branches comes to us to balance their cash boxes and we should be careful in calculating the amounts. The mean branch also deals with any problems which faces other branches. On the last day, the main branch should convert the business's incomes from Dhows to Dirham's and the bank should take 5% from the income and this percentage goes for charity.

I believe the the Bazaar gave me an opportunity to implement what I studied at college in real life and I really enjoyed working with my colleagues where all of us were co-operated.
